People’s Emergency Briefing

Film screening and discussion on the climate and nature crisis, supporting a call for a National Emergency Briefing that can be triggered by parliament.

The short film screening will be followed by a panel discussion chaired by Lydia Cole to debate the types of local action that we can take place alongside this national campaign.

This free event is open to everyone and is being organised in collaboration with Transition St Andrews and the St Andrews Centre for Changing Climates.

On 26 March, 6:00pm to 7:30pm, we hosted a panel discussion at the University of St Andrews, providing an opportunity to participate in a debate on this topic. The event featured representatives from the following sustainability groups, which are based across Fife:

The event aimed to identify our region’s most pressing sustainability priorities, understand the challenges faced by local organisations, and explore how community-led action can contribute to Scotland’s wider international reputation for climate leadership and help drive meaningful global progress towards a more socially and environmentally just future.


Getting to St Andrews

St Andrews is located on the east coast of Scotland within the Kingdom of Fife, and can be easily reached from a number of nearby cities using public transport, road and private transfers.
